The First Presbyterian Church of Algona has two new co-pastors, Bob and Tamara EnTin. Married for 43 years and in the ministry for the same amount of time. Bob and Tamara are bringing new ideas to the church and our community. One of their first ideas is called “Pizza with the Pastors,” a community forum.
Pastor Bob said, “Have you ever wanted to discuss deep questions about faith in a setting that doesn't feel intimidating? Imagine combining the comfort of sharing a meal with friends and the enrichment of meaningful theological conversation. That's exactly what we're bringing to our community!”
Pastor Tamara said, “In our busy lives, finding spaces where we can openly explore questions of faith can be challenging. Traditional settings sometimes feel too formal, and casual conversations might not go deep enough. Many of us have questions about the Bible, faith, and theology that we'd love to discuss in an open, judgment-free environment.”
That's why they are excited to announce 'Pizza with the Pastors' – an event hosted by Pastors Bob and Tamara on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 5:30 pm. This isn't your typical church event. It's what some might call 'Pizza Theology' – an open and honest conversation about things that matter, around a table where all perspectives are welcome.
The format is beautifully simple: pizza, conversation, and God. No lectures, no pressure – just authentic dialogue. You'll have the opportunity to bring your questions, share your thoughts, and hear diverse perspectives. It's a place to wrestle with ideas, learn something new, and connect with others who are also on a journey of faith. And yes – there's pretty good pizza too!
We'll gather at Premier Pizza on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 5:30 pm. The environment will be casual and welcoming – perfect for both newcomers and those well-versed in theological discussions. You don't need any special knowledge or background to participate, just a curious mind and an appetite for both pizza and conversation.
