  • How to use Algona Bucks

    * Algona Bucks work just like cash or check 

    * Algona Bucks can be "spent" at any Algona Area Chamber of Commerce member business

    * Customer presents the Buck(s) at the time of purchase & participating merchant applies it to the purchase

    * Only up to $.99 cents may be given in change 

    - Example: If a customer's total is $16.00 and they have a $20 Buck, they will receive $.99 cents in change and forfeit the $3.01 remaining balance. Or the customer can add to their purchase and to make the total equal to or greater than the $20 Buck. 

    - Example: If a customer's total is $21.25 and they have a $20 Buck, they will need to pay the remaining $1.25 balance via another payment method

    * Algona Bucks do not expire 

    * For the merchant - Algona Bucks should be stamped and deposited with the business' daily receipts like any other check
