Description
Come hangout with the “real superheroes” during the August 7th Party in the Park event!
- The final Party in the Park for summer 2024 will be on August 7th from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Carnegie lawn with the theme “It’s a MARVELous Day!”
- Superhero costume wearing is highly encouraged and recommended!
- Event will feature some of the “real” heroes of our community, such as Iowa National Guard, Moving Veterans Forward, and local veterans
- If you know of any groups or organizations who would like to be featured and participate at the event, please contact the Chamber
- Invite all veterans to attend and be recognized during the event
- Algona Library will be bringing a fun activity, as well as Scooters Coffee and PMC Advantage with games and giveaways
- Cub Scouts will be having their Pinewood Derby races
- Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the musical talents of “Homegrown Harmonies”
- Don’t forget about all the free sweet treats from local organizations – sugar cookie decorating, popcorn, nachos, and freeze pops!
There will be a variety of kid and family friendly activities including giant yard games, sidewalk chalk, and more.
